Doctrinal
Distinctives
1) We are historically orthodox.
Orthodoxy means “sound doctrine” and refers to generally accepted Christian teachings in history. We stand upon the beliefs, creeds, and confessions of members of the church before us. We are trinitarian and believe all things exist to the glory of God alone.
2) We are biblical.
Everything we believe and everything we do should be rooted in the Bible. The Bible is God’s inspired and inerrant word.
3) We are Gospel centered.
The word gospel means “good message” and it is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. That message is at the center of our church and at the center of our lives.
4) We are grace rooted.
We unashamedly confess and teach the doctrines of grace. We are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.
5) We are missional.
We believe the church is placed on mission with God to tell the good news of Jesus. We are evangelistic, inviting all to receive forgiveness through repentance.
6) We are baptistic.
We hold to ancient baptist traditions, mainly the autonomy of local churches and believers’ baptism by immersion.
7) We are complementarian.
We believe that God has created men and women equally and has equipped them to serve in complementing roles within the church and in life.
